As part of the Homerus Programme, USG offers the Cambridge English track for students who want to take their English to the highest level. Whether you love literature, theatre, or simply want to understand your favourite series without subtitles, Cambridge English is the perfect choice.
Ever wanted to speak English like a native speaker? Ever wondered why it “rains cats and dogs” and why the “town is painted red”? How someone can be “the apple of your eye”? Or look like “a dog’s breakfast”?
Then Cambridge English is for you! In addition to learning the language, you will also explore English literature, drama, theatre, art, and culture. And, of course, the best way to learn English is by speaking English! At USG, we use an immersion programme, meaning that from the moment you enter the classroom, English is the only language spoken.
For students with a particular aptitude for English, we offer a fast-track programme. This allows you to complete six years of English in five by joining an accelerated group that combines two years into one. In other words, there is something for everyone!

Cambridge exams
USG offers the possibility to take Cambridge exams at every level. These exams, organized by the British Council in collaboration with Cambridge University, are usually taken in the fifth or sixth form.
Students start in the first form with Cambridge Preliminary, then progress to First Certificate and Advanced, before ending with Proficiency in the final years. Since the exams take place outside of school, there are additional costs involved.
